Christabel Faylinn is a PhD student in the Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto, co-supervised by Dr. Kamil Uludağ and Dr. Jamie Near. Her research focuses on advanced MRI and magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging (MRSI) techniques for ALS patient stratification, with an emphasis on ultra-high-field 7 Tesla MRI—Canada’s first of its kind. Her work involves pulse sequence programming, optimization of acquisition strategies, and the development of quantitative imaging biomarkers aimed at building objective classification tools for improved disease characterization. She received her Honours Bachelor of Science in 2024 from the University of Toronto, specializing in Biomedical Physics. Outside of academia, Christabel is a passionate foodie who enjoys discovering new cuisines and exploring the city through food.
